Indeed, where has it been.

This arrived last week from the lovely Dee of Viva Adonis after we organised a swop. I had seen too many blog posts about it on the net singing it’s praises to ignore it but of course, I couldn’t track it down here. After checking with Rimmel Middle East, who sadly told me it won’t be released here (tsk!) I decided drastic measures had to be taken (a tweet to Dee).

All of the blog posts raving about this have been spot on as I absolutely adore this foundation. I’m talking deep love and meaninglful adoration here, a thing not usually seen on this blog (Well that’s a lie, I’ve loved the last 2 foundations I’ve tried but a girl can never have too many foundations).

The texture is beautiful and quite melty. It feels nice and light on the skin and blends very well. I’m using the fairest shade which is 100 Ivory, and luckily it’s absolutely spot on. What I really like about this is that it works with my actual skin. By that I mean instead of creating a layer on top of your skin, it seems to almost lift the complexion and work with the nasties you already have, in my case redness and pigmentation. The result? A flawless skin-like finish. Anything else I’ve left out? Oh yes, it lasts a bajillion years. Seriously. When I sit down at the end of the day to take off my makeup it’s still there and it looks the same. A complete bloody revelation.

The price point is stonkingly good value too at 8.99GBP/10.95EURO and the packaging is divine. It’s got a bright orange lid for god’s sake!

I’ve been using this with my Real Techniques buffing brush and so far so amazing-ness. If you have’t tried it and you can easily get your hands on it, then do it! Do it now.

The End.
