Weekend makeup

If I’m honest, this is what’s happening every day at the moment and not just at the weekends!

I am firmly in can’t-be-arsed mode at the moment. Mainly because it’s so hot and troweling on loads of makeup (as much as I love doing that) is starting to feel both pointless and distinctly uncomfortable. Step forward the below products, which I slap on in record time (if 15 minutes is a record!) and which generally tend to make me look reasonably perky and pretty.

Most of them I’ve mentioned before but some I haven’t so here’s a quick run down;

Nars Cordura palette. Just gorgeous. Everyone needs this perfect duo of brown shadows, especially brown-eyed girls.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturiser SPF30. Moisturises the skin nicely, no white cast and a nice thin formula. Reasonably good as a base for makeup too.

Bourjois CC Cream. Brightening with medium coverage and long-lasting. Sensational.

No.7 Pop and Glow. Quick and easy to use, leaves a gorgeous flush on the skin. Ridiculously cute packaging.

Lancome Gloss in Love. Why did no one tell me how amazeballs these are? Non-sticky, gorgeous colours and long-lasting. I’m buying them all.

Ellis Faas mascara. New in and hands-down the best mascara I have ever used in my whole life, ever. Massive volume, no clumping/flaking, amazing lash separation, super black, long-lasting and like air on the lashes #winning

MAC Teddy. An oldie but a goodie. Such a flattering brown/bronze and perfect for fast smudging/waterline action.

Now, on to the sales. I’ve bought a few things and I’m mega happy about it so let’s discuss.

1. Current/Elliott Cropped Boyfriend Jeans. I’ve had my eye on these for a while and prayed they’d be in the NAP sale, and they were! They haven’t arrived yet so I can’t tell you about the fit and so on but no doubt I will instagram the crap out of them when they do.

2. Chinti and Parker Breton heart-print striped jersey top. Another one I’ve had my eye on for ages but never purchased because it was a bit spendy at 83GBP (gasp!). I spotted it on WIT Laura’s blog today where she mentioned that it was on sale, and that was it – sold!

3. Sophie Hulme Envelope Clutch. Completely Laura F’s fault. She bought this in Dubai in the sale and although it looked nice in the pic she sent me, I totally fell in love with it in person. I got it online from Matches but it’s still available on the Harvey Nichols website.

4. White Birkenstocks from ASOS. Not er, technically a sale buy. In my defense however, I just love the black ones I bought a few weeks ago and I have worn them practically every day since they arrived. That makes it OK to buy a second pair in white, right??

Have you bought anything in the sales? Are there any amazing bargains out there that I don’t know about?! Share the sale love in the comments! ๐Ÿ™‚
