The weekly roundup of what I’ve been doing, buying and reading in the last seven days!

I’m not going to lie, I didn’t do a whole lot of cool stuff this week. I did however, go to an extremely cool place – if that counts. Zahra introduced me to A4 Space in Al Quoz (pictured above), a warehouse which doubles as a coffee/work/art space in the middle of Alserkal Avenue. It’s one of those places that makes you wish two things; that you came up with the idea and that you actually lived there. The coffee is organic and delicious, the internet is free, the interior is gorgeous, the people are friendly – you get the idea. A must-visit if you work away from the office every now and then.

As is standard from these weekly roundups, I have an ASOS order to share. It just arrived today and it’s one of the first orders I’ve made in over a month. I went for a leather pencil skirt, a burnout sweater with Mickey Mouse on the front (so cute!) and a navy cable knit jumper. Happily, this is an order where all the gods of ASOS were smiling upon me as everything is lovely/fits perfectly. The leather skirt is incredibly comfortable and flattering and I can see myself living in it over the next couple of months and both the tops are fab – the cable knit’s dipped hem is perfect for a slouchy, over jeans look (and it’s only GBP14 in the sale!) and the Mickey Mouse sweater has a nice weight to it. Lovely.

I spent an inordinate amount of time on You Tube today. Mostly uploading and editing my latest weekly vlog (watch it here) but mainly repeat watching Beyonce’s new music video, which basically looks like it was filmed entirely on her iPhone. Yes, I paused the video numerous times when she is in what appears to be her bathroom and no, I still can’t make out what the exact beauty products are that she’s using. All worship the Beyhive!

Now that we’re all used to the news that Kendall Jenner is the new face of Estee Lauder, I’ve been scouring the worldwide web for some deets on her makeup story and what products she loves. So far I’ve come across The Edit on the Estee Lauder site and their really sweet interview with her and Joan Smalls and The Sunday Girl’s latest post, which takes a more in-depth look at her top 10 Estee Lauder products. Both worth a read if you have five minutes. It goes without saying that EL did good with this signing – I seriously can’t wait to see the first campaign images.

Lastly, I’ve been hauling new makeup like no ones business in the last couple of weeks so I’m going to film a quick beauty haul video this week. You can expect to see lots of Nars (hello Domination Blush Palette), Oribe and Estee Lauder plus a few other bits and bobs so keep your eyes peeled. Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!
