A quick roundup of what I’ve been reading, doing and buying lately.
My lovely friend Louise bought me ‘Dark Places’ for Christmas, it’s the newest book from Gillian Flynn – author of Gone Girl. And let me tell you, it’s disturbing with a capital D. If you like eerie, disturbing murder-mysteries then this is for you. I’m not finished it yet but I already recommend it.
I can’t decided whether to buy the new premium Real Techniques brushes? Are they a need? After watching Sam and Nic’s latest video I feel like they’re a need. I LOVE the packaging and they all seem so purposeful…. you can buy them online from Boots if you’re in the UK/Ireland or from Ulta if you’re in the US.
I have been happily ignoring all the sales the last week or so (I know, shocking!), but then something went terribly wrong and I ended up on ASOS and bought two midi dresses. In my defense, I need more dresses. That’s a good defense, right? I bought this Warehouse Shirt Dress because I can just fling it on and wear it with everything shoe-wise, and this ASOS one with lace sleeves as I need it for er, evenings out… π
Blog wise, I’ve become obsessed with Michelle’s corner of the internet lately. So clean, so well-laid out, such great pictures and content – I love this post about makeup storage on a budget. It doesn’t hurt that Michelle is a total babe and has a brilliant You Tube channel to boot. And did I mention she’s Irish? π
Lastly, 2015 will see lots of changes round these parts. I decided to make a career change at the end of 2014, and depending on how well it goes (wish me luck!), I may have a little bit more time for my blog and You Tube over the next couple of months so keep your eyes peeled.
