Most of this weekend so far has been spent hanging around the house, catching up on emails and generally just doing a lot of relaxing. Yesterday afternoon however, we took ourselves off to Amwaj Islands for an afternoon soiree with friends. For the occasion I decided to bust out some of my waterproof makeup, not that I was planning to dunk my head in the sea or pool or anything, I was just channeling poolside glam you understand… (good thing really as the island breeze was more like a powerful gust, I might have got blown out of the water).

I haven’t been wearing much in the way of bright colours lately so I decided it was time to give my beloved MUFE Aqua Cream in 21 an airing, along with one of their amazing crayon kohl pencils in 8k, a deep navy blue (you can check out a previous write up I did on MUFE Aqua Cream’s here). The result as you can see below is quite bright and eye-popping so I kept the rest of the face pretty clean and neutral with Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua foundation and Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in Flush. My brows got the full on waterproof treatment too with some of MUFE’s Aqua Brow Waterproof Eyebrow Corrector. I’ve been using this for some time so I’m already a huge fan but let me tell you, this came in a complete little eyebrow kit and it’s the business. I’ll do a proper review of it at some point next week.

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!
