Well, after months of searching (not really) I finally found the perfect smock dress for mincing around in during the day.
It’s denim and very lightweight with a kind of washed out animal print design. I wear a lot of blue and seeing as I’m living in my silver pointy flats at the moment, I knew it would go perfectly with them too.
Things I like about this dress;
1. The length. Never thought I’d say this but I kinda like that it’s short (ish) – it doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable and I think that’s down to the casual design. I probably need to wear more short dresses while I still can, ha! ๐
2. The smock/swing element. So breezy and not too bulky. Now that we are approaching 40 odd degrees over here the breezy element has become a bit of a need. I really can’t be dealing with skin-tight tops or dresses at the moment.
3. The sleeves. Generously cut sleeves make me really, really happy. There’s nothing worse than buying a gorgeous dress on ASOS only to find that the sleeves cut off your circulation. Know what I mean? The generous cut adds extra breezy action in the armpits too ๐
Aside from all those things, I am most happy with the comfort level (just look at my face!). It’s so easy to wear – fling it on and your done #truedresslove
In other news, today is day four of my facial peel and honestly, I’m not sure if I would do it again. I know it’s not over yet and I may or may not still look like a 15-year-old at the end of this but right now, meh. The skin around my nose, chin and mouth has peeled a lot and the skin that has appeared underneath is tight, red and sore/itchy. Annoyingly, the parts of my face that I wanted to peel (forehead and cheeks) have done nothing of the sort and appear to have completely missed the peeling part. Boo.
I’m wearing a post-treatment SPF50 physical sunblock every day and I’m hoping that it will speed things up before Friday as we’re going to Fujairah on a little mini break. If it doesn’t clear up by then I will just become a recluse for the weekend. Good plan, right? ๐
