This morning I slept in. Usually this wouldn’t be a big issue as I can cope with being 10-15 minutes behind before the panic sets in, but on this day it was an issue. I had a photoshoot at 8.45am, in the middle of the city, in a building I’d never been to and er, I wasn’t 100% on the exact location of said building either. As a result, I busted out my five minute face.

My five minute face consists of products that are always sitting on top of my makeup counter, ready to do a damn good job in five minutes or less when I’m in a flap – which happens more often then you’d think! I had already cleansed my skin in the shower with La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel, so quickly gave it the once over with Bioderma Sensibio and then applied a thin layer of Murad Essential C Daily Moisturiser SPF30. While I waited for that to sink in, I moved on to the eyes. I patted MAC Indianwood Paint Pot all over my eyelids and blended out the edges with the dark brown shade from my favourite Bourjois Smoky Eye Trio, 03 Mordore Chic. I applied a little bit more underneath the lower lashes and smudged with my finger. I wanted a little bit of definition around the upper lashes so I quickly drew a rough line across the lash roots with Bourjois Smoky Pencil in Ultra Black and smudged with a Bobbi Brown Smudge Brush, then applied lashings of Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Definition Mascara (obviously, I’m a huge fan of Bourjois, ha!)

Onto the face, I reached for Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua and applied with my fingers, then concealed both general blemishes and under eye shadows with Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. Hoola Bronzer always warms up my skin nicely so I applied this under my cheekbones, across my forehead, the bridge of my nose and across my collarbone using a Bobbi Brown Blush Brush. At this point I was standing and slowly backing away from my makeup counter whilst grabbing and applying Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple at the same time. Such a multi-tasker! I set all my makeup in the car with a light application of Chanel Mat Lumiere Compact.

And breathe! Are any of you using these products at the moment? I’m almost finished the mascara and will be returning to Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara full time as of tomorrow, woohoo!
