Rimmel Apocalips have finally arrived in Dubai, which is just as well as Orla from MakeupOverMind’s flaunting of her already quite vast collection was making me feel a bit green.
In case you haven’t heard about Apocalips Lip Lacquer, here’s the lowdown; it’s a collection of creamy lip products that give the intense pop of colour you’d get from a lipstick but with the smooth shine of a gloss. They are non sticky, non drying and they last quite a ridiculous amount of time. For lipstick lovers around the world, this is groundbreaking stuff! (YSL have a high end version already but it’s mucho expensive) They come in sleek little tubes and have a slanted little applicator for precise lip action. The colour does tend to bunch up in the applicator so be careful when applying as a little too much can come out.
There are 10 shades to choose from here in Dubai and two of them in particular have stolen my lipstick loving heart; 501 Stellar, which is the bright juicy red I’m wearing in the picture above, and 301 Galaxy, a delicious deep berry shade. If you are at all a fan of lipstick or really pigmented gloss, go and buy these immediately. They are (and I don’t use this word very often) magnificent.
