Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder collection has arrived!

I ordered online from Selfridges, as I’d heard that they would be selling the collection a couple of weeks back. They ship to the Middle East within 2-3 days so it was winners all round.

There are lots of different pieces in the collection (14 in total), and I decided on five that I thought I would like/potentially love. I based some of my choices on a great review by the wonderful Sali Hughes, which you can read here.

Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder Collection

Before we get into each product, I just want to say that I very much like this collection.

I think it’s pretty bloody fantastic, to be honest.

The packaging alone is sensational – heavy, a little bit old-school, mirrors in everything, so grown up, etc. It gives me all the feels. In fact, it gives me Tom Ford feels. Know what I’m saying? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyways, here’s what I ordered, along with a mini-review of each.

Illuminator Morning Aura.

Bloody fantastic. Much, much better than a lot of the reviews would have you believe. A hybrid moisturiser/highlighter that has a beautiful, light texture with an amazing, delicate sheen. I like applying this on the outer corners of my face and on the tops of my cheekbones, either before, or indeed after, my makeup. Love, love, love it.

Eye Ink in Black Myrrh

A beautiful dark, smoky (and slightly dirty) grey/navy. Tonnes of shimmer, but in a good way. The eyeshadows are seriously pigmented and I have nothing bad to say about them.

Eye Ink in Bitter Clove

More of the same here, except this is a possibly more wearable colour than Black Myrrh. I wore this today and yesterday during the day and loved it. It’s a super rich, goldy/taupe/rusty-brown, and blends beautifully, etc.

Kajal Eye Pencil in Black Saffron

This is hands-down the best kajal/smokey eye pencil I have ever used. It goes on so creamy and easily that it’s a bit like rubbing butter on your eyes. The pigment off this bad boy is insane, and also – quite difficult to remove.

In fact, I’d go so far as saying that it’s possibly waterproof. This pleases Simone greatly. I should also mention that it’s double-ended, pitch black on one end, and a nude/beige shade on the other for inner waterline action. Sensational.

Eye Foil in Burnt Anise.

This is the only one that I’m a teeny, tiny bit on the fence about. It’s a slightly watery, sheeny liquid eyeshadow/liner. If I’m being a bit mean, it reminds me of vaseline.

It’s not even that pigmented, so you get a kind of watery, uneven effect on the eye – and it definitely can’t be used as an eyeliner. I just don’t get it. Maybe I’m too uncool for this? ๐Ÿ™‚

I really hope they make Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder permanent, and I’d love to see more added to the line.

Have you ordered anything? Or are you planning to?
