“Lipstick was in danger of going the way of the Sony Walkman” – Poppy King

For those of you who don’t know of Poppy King, she is a fabulous Australian woman who started her own line of Lipsticks, called Poppy, aged 18! Long story short, she is now the Lipstick Queen and has recently collaborated with No. 7 on a range of lipsticks and lip glosses.

I hummed and hawed about buying these lipsticks as they are not available from Boots in the Middle East and I would have to order online and pay extra shipping etc but, after seeing a great review on Lipstick Luvvies Blog, I decided to go for it!

I decided on (L to R) Glamour & Allure. The first thing that struck me when they arrived are the size of them, so tiny! A mere 3.5g of product for a rather excessive 12GBP. Usually, I would never spend this much on a lipstick from No. 7 but as its Poppy King, I decided I would just this once!

As I have mentioned to many other bloggers, I am disappointed with the packaging. I think No.7 could have done a little better than just her signature. The little boxes they come in are pretty cute but I don’t know why they made the bullet so dull.

The upside, of course, is the lipsticks themselves. Swatches above.

Beautiful sheer lipsticks that feel great on the lips, very smooth and soft. I really love Glamour, a gorgeous mid-toned pink. Can’t fault them really!

The whole range consists of 7 lipsticks and 7 lip glosses with a shade to cater to everyones taste.

Go check them out!
