These four are sitting pretty on top of my foundation pile at the moment so I thought I would do a quick post about them. I reach for each one for completely different reasons, for completely different skin looks and as of right now, they are all doing it for me – which is nice! 🙂
1. Clinique Even Better is my current favourite. It balances out my skin like nobody’s business and leaves it glowing and radiant without being too shiny. It’s also very light to wear and doesn’t feel cakey. Medium coverage too and a formulation that works with your own skin tone? Yes, I will have that thank you 2. Laura Mercier Silk Creme is a close second. Until recently I was a little bit obsessive about using this as my skin was feeling and looking crap, dull and a little bit blotchy and this was saving it. It’s majorly full coverage (majorly) with an almost mask-like effect when you first apply it but somehow it still ends up looking like your own skin. It covers everything, doesn’t cake and has serious lasting power. Hurrah! 3. Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Luminous Liquid is the one I reach for when I’m wearing fake tan (and when I’m feeling a bit posh). Apart from the fact that the shade matches my skin perfectly when it’s covered in the fake brown stuff, it’s hands down one of the most luxurious foundations I have ever used (read my full review here). It’s silky smooth, light on the skin, provides medium coverage and has a luminous dewy finish. This didn’t suit me a couple of months ago when my skin was oilier but now that it’s more dry it works like a dream. Lastly, the newest addition to my collection, 4. Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream. This is the one I reach for when my skin is red, feeling particularly sensitive and looking blotchy. Basically when my skin is like “Oh hai, no I’m not getting out of bed today actually”. It’s on the sheer side of medium coverage and quite light in texture but leaves the skin looking very even toned and radiant. No other foundation has ever balanced out the redness on my skin like this and not irritated it in the process. It must be love!
And there we have it, my favourite four! Are you using any of these foundations? What are your current favourites?
