Welcome to Monday reading ๐
It’s Eid Al Adha in Dubai at the moment, which means lots of people are off work and taking it easy.
Aside from catching up with friends of ours from home, and others visiting from Oman, I’ve taken the opportunity over the past couple of days to peruse the internet and catch up on blogs, try out new recipes and buy some new things (oops).
First up, YouTube.
If you’re not subscribed to Karlie Kloss, you should give her a go. I find her videos quite entertaining and aside from the coding stuff (literally no idea) she posts some great content. Including this three ingredient pancakes video – so delicious, reasonably healthy and so easy to make. I’ve made them a few times and never get to finish them as Charlie is a big fan ๐
I ordered this mug from Etsy a few days ago because I am sucker for cute/gimmicky things, especially mugs. My current favourite is this one from Anthropologie, which Louise gave me for my birthday back in July.
This feature in The New Yorker about Donald Trumps ghostwriter is a very interesting read. Tony Schwartz is the man responsible for Trump’s bestselling book back in the eighties.; ‘The Art Of The Deal’. He regrets his decision to write it, and spills the beans on what it was like following Donald around for 18 months (spoiler alert: not fun).
Topshop have some lovely new things in at the moment, and I’m contemplating a small purchase. I love this dainty tea dress – it’s a decent length and looks so pretty and girly. It’s so hot here at the moment that I am genuinely struggling with my insistence on wearing jeans every day. It might be time to break out the dresses ๐
This post on Rebecca’s blog is fab. She talks about the best things she has learned from beauty bloggers over the years, and I’m on board with all of them – especially the one about dry shampoo, and leaving your eyebrows alone ๐
Have you come across any great links on the web this week?
