Hello, hello! I’m still here!
To say I have been mad busy would be an understatement. After four years in the world of all things magazines, I decided to leave it all behind and focus on something different. Me, myself, and I. Simone’s New Business. Equal parts exciting, equal parts terrifying. This week is the first week and it has been totally exciting and terrifying so far, so I think I made the right decision π
So, that’s my main news. The other news is of course, shopping related. I had a small (ish) splurge on ASOS last week to celebrate my new shiz and bought the following: this black textured midi dress, this polka dot midi dress and this Whistles sweater. I have only worn the Whistles sweater so far and as expected, it is all the amazing things – comfy, cosy, super soft and good quality. Highly recommend even if it is a bit spendy.
I also got a new pair of Dolce and Gabbana shades courtesy of Smart Buy Glasses – I love the cat eye style and the size is perfect. I had never heard of Smart Buy Glasses before but they seem to have lots of great brands, including a huge Ray Ban selection. And there’s a rather cool function where you can actually try the glasses on! Clever.
Lastly, I want to talk about foundation. There is lots of talk about the new Nars All Day Weightless Luminous Foundation (read my review here) and although I like it, no foundation will ever replace Clarins Extra Comfort Foundation in my affections (not unless something equally amazeballs comes out). If you haven’t tried it guys, I implore you to do so. You will not regret it because it’s so good. Seriously. Have you tried it?
