As most of you know, I have a weak spot for Make Up For Ever. Partly because I trained with them professionally many years ago and partly because I’m a huge fan of their consistently high quality, incredibly amazing product line. Like many other brands, they come out with limited edition collections every now and then but what makes them different from these other brands is that these limited edition collections are just that; limited. They don’t come out very often but when they do, well – you can expect to be blown away.
This collection is no different, and probably my favourite one to date. Inspired by sultry, sexy tango dancers it’s all about deep jewel tones and to-die-for packaging. The collection consists of an eyeshadow palette that contains’ four limited edition aqua cream shades and a double ended synthetic brush, three nail shades (MUFE’s first ever nail polish creations I might add) and a double ended Aqua Rouge lippy in No. 11 Dark Raspberry; one side is the matte lipstick and the other is a glossy top coat that holds the colour in place longer.
The four limited edition Aqua Cream’s offered in the palette are truly divine;, rich jewel shades of blue, green, red and ivory (the red is particularly amazeballs). Having used and abused Aqua Creams for some time, I won’t go on about them too much suffice to say you can find many posts on this blog detailing their amazing-ness. The nail polish is no different, just look at them in the below pictures and you’ll see what I mean. They are gorgeous! And the waterproof lipstick, well – lets just say it makes me want to move back to Spain, learn to tango and prance around with a rose in my hair.
Is there any downside to the collection? Apart from it not being super cheap, no. I love it! The palette retails here in the UAE for 215AED (46e/37GBP), the polishes for 65AED (14e/11GBP) each and the lippy for 124AED (26E/21GBP). What do you think of the collection? To the comments!
