I paid a visit to Toni & Guy about two weeks ago for a mini-overhaul. I whinged to Kat, one of their amazing stylists, about how I’m trying to grow my hair out but the longer it’s getting the flatter it seems to look. She listened to me patiently and made soothing noises before explaining that I needed more volume in my hair and we could do this easily by taking a little bit off the ends and adding a bunch of layers, with choppy graduated ones around the face for more depth. After washing and the whole shebang, she used some of this new serum from Kerastase on my hair, and then styled as normal. Of course, I immediately became distracted by the pretty packaging and wanted to know why she was using it and what it did and was it new as I’d never seen it before!
She said that it’s not just a regular serum and is specifically tailored towards nourishing and taming dry hair (which I have), and that it can also be used as an intensive leave-in conditioning treatment. Having recently discovered the wonders of serum I was totally sold and have been using it pretty much every day since then. I really like it – it’s a non sticky, lightweight formula and super easy to apply. I’ve been running it through damp hair which results in a polished, shiny, soft look. My hair also feels great after using it, super soft and conditioned. I haven’t used it as a treatment yet, but plan to in the next week or so when I have time so I’ll let you know how I get on with that. Are any of you using this?
