Why do you use those particular products and do you have a particular philosophy or routine
I try to bring as little as possible with me in regards to top-up makeup. My thinking is that makeup should initially be applied with the idea of it lasting, so ideally it shouldn’t require many touch-ups!! I use primers & set liner with powder etc so I rarely do much to myself through-out the day. Plus I’m a bit lazy when it comes to it!! You can see most of the pencils in my bag are near their end, or “nubs” as I call them! That’s where good pencils go to die. But they are much loved til the very end, Ha ha! Also I put many of my favourite or most used products into little tester pots to save on space. Like, concealer & lipgloss. My hand bag is heavy enough!
How often do you change what’s in your makeup bag
Most of the products you see in the pictures are staples but depending on my makeup on any given day, I may chuck in a lippy or different coloured liner, especially if it’s a bright colour I’m using. Otherwise, it only changes when I finally finish an item and replace it with a new “nub” etc!!
What products can you not live without and regularly re-buy?
Definitely my Cherry Kiss Lipbalm. It’s my holy grail lip moisturiser! And it smells delicious!! Also, my black kohl pencil, either Mac’s Feline or Smoulder. My concealers are pretty essential too! What is the story behind the bag you use? Where did you get it and why do you like it?
I haven’t actually had this bag for too long. It comes as a part of a pair, alongside a bag more than twice its size that I use for my kit. I only use clear bags so I can see what I’m looking for. When I do find good cheap bags, I buy a load! And that’s what I did here. I bought 10 of them! Ha ha. They are from Dunnes and the set cost €4.00.
