What products are in your makeup bag right now?
Base and Face – DHC Velvet Skin Coat, Biotherm Anti-redness SOS concealer, 2 x No7 Blemish Stick that I mix together, YSL Touche Eclat, Max Factor Xperience Foundation, Shills Super Magic BB Cream and Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in Transparent. Plus Cosmo Blend Perfection Makeup sponge to blend foundation and concealer.
Bronzers & Highlighters – Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder, Famous Sue Moxley Baked Bronze Pot in Miami, The Balm Hot Mama Blush, Bourjois Rose D’Or blush
Eyes – Origins GinZing eye cream, DHC Eyelash Tonic, Urban Decay Primer Potion, No7 Amazing Eyes Pencil in Brown (for brows) Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner, No7 Stay Perfect Eye Mousse in Fudge & Vanilla, 17 Wild Curls Mascara (day), YSL Faux Cils Mascara (night), Urban Decay Naked Palette.
Lips – Neom Organic Multi-balm, Blistex Relief Cream, Myface Lipgloss in Glamourous Fair, Essence Sun Club lipgloss in Summer Cherry and Lord & Berry Lipstick Crayon in Blush.
Why do you use those particular products and do you have a particular philosophy or routine?
Anything that I use day-to-day that is in my makeup bag has to work well, if I have a powder that leaves me with an oily T-zone by midday it is soon in my makeup drawer and not in my makeup bag. I also like all the products I use to last all day which is why I use both a face primer and an eye primer plus I always go for more pigmented blushers that don’t fade throughout the day!
How often do you change what’s in your makeup bag?
Not that often really, I seem to add new products but don’t change it up that often which can lead me to having way too many products in there. Though I do change products in there just before summer and then again just before winter. So next month I’ll add some sunscreen products in there, change the type of foundation I’m using to a more sheer one and add afew brighter lipsticks in there.
Is there a product you can’t live without and regularly re-buy?
I have three products I just can’t live without and always re-purchase – No7 Quick Cover Blemish Stick in 02 Extra Fair (amazing coverage and lasts all day), No7 Amazing Eyes Pencil in 10 Brown (the only thing that looks natural over my blonde eyebrows when I forget to get them tintied) and YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara for big almost fake looking lashes!
What is the story behind the bag you use?
It’s nothing special but it does hold alot! I got it free with Marie Claire magazine last year and it’s by Cowshed. I would love a new Anya Hindmarch makeup bag for my birthday in May though!
