Ah, Friday brunch. An institution in Dubai and one that I honestly don’t get around to doing that much. Mainly because I’m so busy with Charlie at the weekends but also because most of the brunches here are quite expensive and I usually can’t justify blowing the guts of 100 euro on a bit of food and er, copious amounts of alcohol.
Nonetheless, the gods of the weekend aligned on Friday and I found myself with some free time to attend The Sparkling Brunch at The Movenpick in IBN Battuta with my friend Laura. It was stupid hot outside so I opted for a loose tunic dress from Zara, some gladiator sandals from Zara and a Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac handbag. I also threw on my new bit of neck bling to jazz things up slightly. I’m really glad I opted for the gladiator sandals over heels as they were super comfortable but didn’t make my outfit too casual and er, I was still able to get around after a *few* glasses of champagne.
The process of having my picture taken for my very first outfit of the day was rather hilarious as it’s not something I’m used to doing but luckily for me, Laura is a pro at it and she had me laughing my ass off, as you can see! We were rather sweaty by the end of it and I’m sure some of the hotel guests thought we were absolutely off our rockers, prancing around outside in 40 something degree heat.
So there we are, my very first outfit of the day post.
