Let’s just cut to the chase – it was mad, passionate love at first sight with this foundation. I blame the beautiful heavy glass packaging and super creamy formula nestled inside, along with the fact that it smells yum. It’s brand new from Clarins and specifically designed to plump and comfort the skin while slowing down the signs of aging. It provides a high level of hydration and a soothing comfortable feel to the skin plus long-lasting full coverage with a radiant, dewy finish.
I’ve used it every single day for the last ten days and honestly, I think this is the one. I know that sounds dramatic but truly, this is hands-down one of the best foundations I’ve ever used, if not the best. Although the texture is gorgeous; creamy and super smooth on the skin, it appears to look and feel better the longer you wear it. I like the finish when I apply it first thing in the morning and my skin feels nice, but by afternoon my skin feels even more hydrated than it did in the morning. Amazing, right? I think this is down to its star ingredient; organic argan oil – the first foundation I’ve ever heard of to have this.
A new concealer has been released alongside it which promises to illuminate the eye area and reduce pigmentation to create a brightened under-eye area. I’m very impressed with this also, it has a beautiful silky texture with good coverage, very little creasing and it leaves the eye-area looking slightly dewy: which I love.
Both are available now from Clarins counters – the foundation is available in nine shades and the concealer in four. Honestly, I can’t recommend the foundation enough. If you’re in the market for a new base, give this a go – you won’t regret it!
