OK, time to review these babies!
Right, so you probably know the story by now: Simone went to Sephora, Simone went nuts, Simone bought all the Chanel things (watch my Sephora haul here). I basically bought both of these because the pretty packaging sucked me in. I just need to put that out there.
So, let’s start with Chanel Les Beige Healthy Glow Fluid.
Good points –
It has a beautiful light texture, applies thinly and leaves no trace on the skin.
It definitely adds a lovely glow.
It lasts a very long time and the few times I wore it in the last week elicited compliments from friends and colleagues about how great my skin looked.
You can apply with a brush but fingers are just as good and you can literally bung it on with very little technique and it will still work its way into the skin nicely, so good for on the go.
Bad points –
It’s expensive.
It provides minimal coverage and doesn’t do much in the way of covering blemishes. The shade selection is only alright.
Here is my skin before (left) and after applying it (right).
Would I buy it again? I’m really not sure. One on hand I would say no because it’s too expensive and because personally I like little bit more coverage, but on the other hand I can’t deny its luxurious superiority when compared to other glow fluids/tinted moisturisers I’ve used. I also really like the fact that it’s so easy to apply.
Now, Le Blanc De Chanel. I have used this alone and before foundation as it apparently adds radiance and perfects the skin. It also apparently acts as a base for your makeup.
Good points –
Nice light texture
Adds a nice glow to the skin
Can be patted on over foundation for extra glow
Makes foundation look even better when applied over it
Bad points –
Zero coverage (expected) and zero perfecting of the skin
Adds white tinge to skin if you apply too much
Very expensive
I didn’t take a before or after picture because there is an undetectable difference in my skin on camera. Would I buy it again? Definitely not. Yes, it does something lovely to the skin when worn under foundation but I can get that from plenty of other products for half the price. If I’m honest, I don’t really ‘get’ this product.
Now, I just want to make it clear – I do like both of them and will enjoy using them all up but I don’t think I could justify spending the same money again. Know what I mean?
What do you think? Are you using either of these?
