Bourjois Happy Light Collection

Oh I do love a good Bourjois collection, but that’s a funny thing to say I suppose as I can’t remember the last time they released a bad collection! This new offering is called Happy Light – possibly the cutest name ever, and its entire focus is on perfected, highlighted, radiant skin.

There are three products in the collection; Happy Light Foundation, Happy Light Ultra-covering Concealer and Happy Light Serum Primer.

1. The foundation comes in nine shades and offers medium coverage with a dewy finish. It’s a really lovely foundation, quite a melty formula if you know what I mean and it makes the skin glow without looking like an oil slick. I’ve worn it on and off for the last week and I would say it lasts a good eight or nine hours, which is damn impressive considering where I live.

2. The compact concealer is my favourite product in the collection and is available in 3 shades. Aside from the cute compact packaging, the pigmentation is pretty unbelievable; it has a thick texture but still manages to look light and soft on the skin, even though it’s pigmented enough to cover everything. It lasts even longer than the foundation and somehow manages to illuminate even though it’s quite thick. Amazing altogether!

3. The serum primer is available in two types; a luminous primer for normal to dry skin and a matte primer for normal to oily skin. I have the luminous version and I particularly like using it on my cheekbones, edges of my forehead and center of my nose. It’s a peachy pink colour in a gel-type formula but turns translucent when applied to the skin. It gives the most beautiful sheen without looking too shiny and it’s also gorgeous when used on top of the foundation.

In general, I have nothing bad to say about this collection. I love everything about it, from the packaging to the products on offer and what they do to the philosophy behind the collection. Did I mention that I love the concealer? The price points are not too bad either; Dhs94 for the foundation, Dhs63 for the concealer and Dhs86 for the serum primer. Once again, and as expected from Bourjois; its true love!

Will you be making a dash for this collection?  Or are you using it already? Let me know! 🙂
