My hair is really dying a death of late. Its getting warmer and warmer here and my hair is so dry and lank as a result. When I was in Dubai last week I forgot to bring my own haircare and ended up using the “2 in 1” provided by the hotel. As Julia Roberts once said, big mistake, big.. huge! My hair actually turned to straw. It even provoked an (unheard of) query from husband, “er, whats going on with your hair?” This, I realised, was serious!
Off I went to Bin Sina Pharmacy in Dubai Mall with the plan to grab the nearest conditioner/hair mask and hotfoot it back to the hotel. Whilst I was looking for conditioner, one of the SA’s approached me and asked could she help, and then kindly directed me to the haircare section. She hovered for a few minutes before blurting out that I needed a deep conditioning treatment and basically, the stuff I was looking at just wouldn’t cut it because my hair was on its last legs. Ok, she didn’t say exactly that but I could tell thats what she meant! She recommended Vichy Nourishing Reparative Conditioner which funnily enough, was 3 times the price of the one I was looking at… Due to my hair-induced emotionally delicate state I bought it and left.
Now, I’m SO GLAD I did. This product has seriously brought my hair back from the brink. I can actually feel moisture in my hair again and the dryness has been significantly reduced in just one week! Amazingly, twice weekly usage is advised and its reversed so much damage in just that, 2 uses! What I also like is that my hair isn’t too flyaway or flat after using it, my hair has the same level of volume as usual but is more conditioned. It also smells yum.
The only downside to this hair miracle is the price, it cost 7BD/14 euro for 150ml of product. Not exorbitant but more expensive than usual conditioners which usually give twice as much product for the same price. Thankfully, it does what it says on the tin and using it only twice a week will ensure this lasts me at least 6 weeks if not more. I can live with that.
It also means my hair will live too!
