Pharmacies/drugstores can be overwhelming places. You just know there are lots of great products within reach but the overly keen sales assistants, sea of special offer signs and dodgy looking testers can put a girl off.
To save you time and effort, here’s a quick rundown of my top five high-performing, low-cost items to dash and grab so you can get out of there, stat! 🙂
The Foundation – Collection Lasting Perfection Foundation
Full coverage, very blendable and long-lasting with a gorgeous finish. Who knew Collection would come out with such a stonking foundation? It’s a great one for beating the heat, too (poor shade selection though).
The Lipstick – Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Pink Pong
Everyone and their mother has tried Rouge Edition lippies at this stage, and for good reason. Freakishly long-lasting, very comfortable on the lips even though it’s a matte formula and amazingly pigmented colour-wise. The range of shades is pretty good overall, but Pink Pong is the must-have. See swatch here.
The Gel Liner – Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
Probably one of the blackest liners I’ve ever used. The one comes with a gem of a brush too, so application has never been easier. It lasts all day and doesn’t flake or fade. Plus it comes in a super cute little pot.
The Liquid Liner – L’Oreal Perfect Slim Super Liquid Liner
This liquid liner is holy Grail for me folks. I have not been without it for over three years now. Why? Super easy to use, even if you’re a bit cack-handed like me, supremely black, moveable when applying and very long-lasting. Sensational.
The Concealer – Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Another stunner from Collection and another one I’ve been using for going on three years now. Provides full coverage that somehow manages to look natural, it doesn’t cake, blends beautifully into the skin and literally stays in place until you remove your makeup.
And there we have it! Are you using any of these products? To the comments! 🙂
