This is what I wore to work today. I didn’t really know what kind of look I was going for at first, I just knew I wanted to wear a solid colour underneath my stripey monochrome blazer.
The blazer is a new addition to my wardrobe, it’s by a brand called Stoosh and was an absolute steal from Nordstrom at Dhs165. It’s a light, stretchy knit that looks as good with a dress and heels as it does with jeans and a tee. I snapped it up after I spotted it on the always fabulous Mary from Happily Grey. They have some rather bizarre sizing options online in that it’s available in ‘Juniors’ size and regular women’s size, but you can only order from Juniors at the moment and the measurements they list are the equivalent to a size UK 8/10. Anyways, it all worked out well in the end. I ordered the Juniors medium and it fits my size UK 12 frame perfectly.
The dress is an old one from ASOS. I bought it a couple of years ago when we were living in Bahrain as I wanted something bright green to wear on Paddy’s Day! Ha. It’s high neck, loose fit with sleeves to the elbows in a light polyester material. It’s gorgeous to wear; comfortable and billowy yet flattering, which is just what you want in the Dubai weather.
I didn’t bust out any accessories except my Alexander Wang Rockie bag and some plain leather sandals – also in black, from Aldo. I made a big effort with my makeup this morning but it all went to hell tonight when I went to Yoga. You win some you lose some, eh?
Hope you are all having a good week!
