Re-Ombred. Is that even a word? I’m not sure but it sums up this post perfectly regardless. I paid a visit to uber amazing hairstylist Raymond Moussan at his gorgeous salon in Deira at the weekend. I was in two minds about what to do, whether I should go back to my ‘natural’ colour (HA! I don’t even know what that is anymore) or to re-ombre my mop. The ombre look and I have a rather chequered past but I’ve been feeling the love for it again recently…
After consulting with Raymond, he declared that the ombre look is rather nice on me and works well with my colouring and that if he was to make any changes it would be to just tone the lighter parts down slightly as they had gone a bit brassy. Well, I never! A hairstylist that actually complements you on your current hair style and only wants to make it look better?! Amaze, as they say.
So that’s exactly what he did, toned down the brassier parts and made it looks less straw like. After applying the colour, he used a Moisture Mask from TreSemme on my hair as it’s a little on the dry side, snipped a little of the ends and cut in a few layers to give my hair some much-needed oomph. He also styled my hair just the way I like it (and can never seem to manage myself at home), big and boofy and with loads of volume and so overall, it made for a very positive hair experience. Something that’s been increasingly difficult to come by the last couple of months! Here’s the finished result below, look how happy I am!
And so that’s the new hair. Suffice to say, I’m feeling rather fabulous at the moment and lots of swishing action is going on. Who know’s how long this happiness will last though, as I tend to change my hair every five minutes. We’ll have to wait and see! If you’re in Dubai however, and looking for a fabulous hairdresser I can’t recommend Raymond enough. Check out his Facebook page here.
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!
