The last few days – bar the whole ‘my life is up in a tip’ thing, have all been about lipstick. And not just any lipstick ladies, a particular shade that has stolen my lippy loving heart and is now reluctant to share it with another. Step up So Chaud from MAC Cosmetics; a matte offering that’s part of their permanent line, I fell in lust as soon as I saw it. Happily, I wasn’t looking for any shade in particular, but was merely leisurely perusing the racks in MAC after handing over six empties for their Back to Mac program.
This beauty is a chili colored red, not quite verging on orange but not a true red either. Even though it’s a matte formula, it’s quite nice on the lips and not at all drying. I’ve been wearing it with a full face of slap, with liner and even (funnily enough) without a scrap of makeup on my face (cue puzzled looks from Husband).
I’m in love and I want the world to know! Sad maybe, but hey as Gwyneth Paltrow once said; “Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick”. Couldn’t have said it better myself!
