Oooh I do love a bit of INGLOT, and even though they are borderline amazing they still seem to be a pretty underrated brand, don’t you think? I recommend them to people all the time and it’s usually met with ‘Oh I’ve never heard of them’ or a non-committal ‘I’ve never really searched out their products’. My answer to that is always well you should because they’re amaze! Indeed, I’ve blogged about some of their eyeshadow’s in the past and until now it was always the eyeshadow’s (and the incredible Freedom System) that got me. This time around however, I got my hands on some new beauties (as well as an eyeshadow palette, because let’s be honest – you can’t go in there and not get one!), namely some of their new offerings – Sleeks Cream and Colour Play Mascara.

Sleeks cream is for the lips and it’s an immensely pigmented, non-sticky lip cream – its definitely not a gloss as the formula is (unsurprisingly) super creamy and not at all sheer, which I love! I got shade 104 which is a hot coral bordering on orange shade.I also picked up one of their new Colour Play Mascara’s in purple. Now, I’ve had quite a lot of experience with colour mascara’s in the past and always found the formula either drying or flaky, or both (hello Benefit Bad Gal Blue Mascara). This formula however, (and I sort of knew INGLOT would get it right) is not like that at all. It’s like any other good quality mascara except it’s purple, and properly purple at that! It doesn’t flake either, hurrah!

And of course, the eyeshadow palette. I really really love INGLOT eyeshadow’s, as do most people I know who have tried them out. Supremely pigmented with a vast colour selection to make any die-hard lipstick fan crossover to the other side, they never fail to make me feel a bit weak at the knees. They feel like butter to touch, and the colour that ends up on your eyes is pretty much exactly what you see in the pan. Anything else? Oh yes, at 2.7grams of product in each shadow (the square one’s above) they’re one of the biggest available in the makeup market and they’re much more affordable then a lot of the mid range brands around.

The palette I picked up was a ready-made one available in store, it’s part of their new range of summer shades and as far as I know is just known as the bronze palette. The shades are (above l-r); DS608, DS609, Pearl 606, Pearl 605 and Pearl 607. All are absolutely gorgeous and I’ve been wearing most of them rather obsessively for the last couple of weeks. And (you’ll be relieved to know) that that concludes my INGLOT gush-fest for today!
