Yeah, I know I said I was over MAC’s limited edition collections that they keep churning out but today, when I was innocently browsing the store, Glitter & Ice hit me like a bolt out of the blue. Ok, that’s a lie. It didn’t, but lets say I was slightly taken aback by some of the pieces in the collection and began swatching furiously. After much ooh-ing, aah-ing and enabling (my friend left with one of the pieces too) I decided on the following two products…
A paint pot called For Effect and a mineralize eyeshadow called Snow Season. Now, what attracted me to these was the colours, in my opinion these are probably the two standout pieces from this collection. A delicious smoky grey/navy cream shadow with a hint of shimmer and a jewelled light bronze gold powder shadow. For Effect reminds me of blackground except it’s smokier and moodier, and well, Snow Season was just pretty – a girl can never have enough gold toned eyeshadows! Let’s take a closer look…
Yup, total gorgeousness or what? There are of course a number of other shades in the collection but these were my favourite. Interestingly, MAC have brought out the limited edition stacked pigment pots again and although initially taken in by them, I decided against purchasing as there was only one that really caught my eye. I attempted to photograph the swatch on my hand for two above, and although it’s not the best, it’ll give you a rough idea of the payoff and colour from these two beauties.
Thoughts? Have you bought anything from this collection?
